Three Men on the Way Way

I had trouble with this book.

1. The author, Hamish Brown, is not one of the three men.
2. There is a lack of authenticity throughout the entire story. I often felt that the author was trying to write a book that would sell as in Three Men in a Boat.
3. Although there are good descriptions of the trail with interesting historical notes, the dialect is used for effect, the humour is at the expense of others and the men are stereotypes.

I have thought of walking paths in Britain and this one came to mind. I think I’ll find others first.

Not a good read for me anyway.
