Although, the author is a consummate walker, this is not a book about walking. However, it is a book about getting lost in thought. I have read, reviewed and loved her book “Wanderlust – A History of Walking.” I had to read “A Field Guide to Getting Lost” for more of that love. I was not disappointed. Get lost in Rebecca Solnit’s precious choice of words, woven into exquiste sentences, expressing profound ideas. You may not want to be found.
