Yesterday evening was as lovely as the day. I sat with a group of people from Australia and one other Canadian chatting until dinner. The Albergue served several choices. I had the ham slices with melted cheese and chips.
My walk had a few climbs but nothing too strenuous. What was difficult was the very stony path and the cold.
It was 6C in the morning. It warmed up to about 20C in the afternoon. But I still had to sit right in the sun to eat lunch with my coat on. It will warm up to the mid – twenties in a few days. But I will be in the mountains then and it could still be quite cold.
Lunch was delicious. It was a plate of thinly sliced tomatoes dressed with olive oil, pesto and topped with baby mozzarella. With bread and two glasses of wine it was 20euros.
My Albergue is a very old building. Everything is adequate. It’s just a little creepy. I hope tomorrow is better.
I’m still thinking about dinner. I’m not sure I want to go out in the cold.
I’ll keep you posted.
