This book is a great read for anyone interested in finding out what it’s like to walk a Camino. Tim describes in detail the people he meets, his own personal thoughts while walking and to some extent the terrain and the albergue accommodation along the Camino France´s. The author walked this challenging route in 2010 at 60 and again in 2015. He carried his own pack, walked substantial distances daily and met an amazing array of other pilgrims.
Although Phillips was born in England, he has lived now in Canada for more than 20 years. However, you will still find a good deal of British humour in this very well written account of Tim’s first Camino with a brief summary of his second walk in the epilogue. I highly recommend this delightful read.
