I’ve been eating better since Cynthia and I have been going out for meals together. My cold is getting better by degrees. Today we walked 3kms to the Cathedral, arriving very early.
Cynthia got her Compostela and I got a nice certificate for effort. We went to the English pilgrim mass in the chapel at pilgrim house. It was very small and very intimate. We then went to the main mass in the cathedral at 12:00 and saw the Botafumeiro swing. It’s a once in a lifetime experience.
We then had lunch. Yesterday we had octopus(pulpo) for lunch. It’s a regional speciality that’s a bit like a chewy chicken. Today was some beef ribs which weren’t memorable. I have one more day here and then I go with Cynthia to Muxia by bus. We’ll spend 3 days by the sea.
My bus to Porto is booked, as is my accommodation there. I still have about 4 or 5 days to kill after Muxia and I may spend a few in Finisterre. I’ll keep you posted.
