Camino #38 – Dinner

At the Fishhouse hostel I booked a bed in a 6 person dorm. There was a nice sitting area outside on what might have been a roof garden without the plants. However, it did have a large orange cat. Myself and three other women – two from Germany and one from Holland, who All spoke excellent English, sat out there chatting.

We went to dinner together and found a great restaurant with a set menu- soup, main course and coffee for 8.80 euros. One of our group was vegan, so three of us ordered a different dish – fish fillets, kebabs, salt cod and shared – after our bowls of potato and vegetable soup.

We then spent several hours explaining our reasons for walking the Camino. It was an amazing evening.

In the morning we headed out separately. I got lost and ended up beside a motorway – very depressing. However l managed to find a slip road down to the West and eventually found the sea again.

Corinna and I walking to Vila Cha.

After about 18kms of amazing weather, surf and sunshine walking with new friends from Michigan and my Dutch friend from last night, we reached Vila Cha and the hostel there. Cost of a bed for the night is 10euros.

About to set out for dinner – more to come.

Bom Camino.
